I can’t even begin to put into words just how important prayer is. Prayer is the foundation of building a personal relationship with God. Through prayer, we express our joys, struggles, hopes, fears and every emotion in between to the Lord. Through prayer, we thank God for his many blessings. Through prayer, we get to know our Lord better.
Here are some of my favorite Bible verses about prayer:
Mark 11:24 – “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.”
Philippians 6:9 – “Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.”
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 – “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances.”
Romans 12:12 – “Rejoice in your hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.”
Colossians 4:2 – “Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving.”
Hebrews 4:16 – “Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”
1 John 5:14 – “And this is the confidence which we have in him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us.”
